As 2025 draws to a close, the 911 Cell Phone Bank proudly shines its November spotlight on the American Gaming Association (AGA), our Partner of the Year in this milestone 20th anniversary year.
The AGA serves as the premier national trade group for the U.S. casino industry, uniting operators, manufacturers, suppliers, and employees under one voice. Their mission goes beyond advocacy; it fosters an environment where legal, regulated gaming thrives, bringing economic strength, job creation, and community investment to towns and cities across America. At the heart of this mission is a commitment to responsibility: promoting safe play, supporting vibrant workplaces, and uplifting the communities they serve.
This year, during their national convention in Las Vegas, the AGA was recognized for their role in helping turn “lost and found liabilities” into lifesaving tools. Through collaboration with the 911 Cell Phone Bank, hundreds of casinos nationwide have donated unclaimed electronic devices that are securely data-cleared and repurposed. From there, many devices become lifelines for victims of human trafficking, distributed through law enforcement agencies, advocacy programs, and shelters across the country.
The list of contributors within the AGA network is extensive and continues to grow. From small enterprises to major commercial operators, gaming leaders across the country have united behind this effort. Together, they’ve transformed what was once considered “lost and found liability” into a nationwide movement of compassion and corporate responsibility.
Imagine a phone left behind on a casino floor. Without proper handling, it could expose sensitive data or harm the environment. But in the hands of the 911 Cell Phone Bank, that same device could be reborn as a secure connection for a mother fleeing abuse with her children, a method to rebuild the life of a human trafficking survivor, or even the device that allows a victim to call 911 when their abuser breaks into their home.
This transformation captures the spirit of the AGA’s partnership: turning potential risks into powerful resources, making them unexpected heroes.
“As we close out our 20th anniversary year, we are humbled by the generosity of the American Gaming Association and its members,” said James Mosieur, Founder & Director of the 911 Cell Phone Bank, “Their contributions have created real change. This partnership protects businesses, the environment, and, most importantly, saves lives. We celebrate every single partner who has joined us, and we invite others to step forward in 2026.”
