PRESS RELEASE
Pay It Forward Day, a global celebration of kindness, takes place on April 28th, and this year, the 911 Cell Phone Bank invites everyone to join the movement in a unique and meaningful way. From small acts of kindness to impactful gestures, this is your chance to be part of a ripple effect that changes lives.
The 911 Cell Phone Bank’s PHONE IT FORWARD Campaign is the perfect way to connect the spirit of Pay It Forward Day with the fight against human trafficking and domestic violence. By donating unused cell phones and electronic devices, you can provide a lifeline to individuals in crisis while contributing to a more sustainable planet.
Blake Beattie started Pay It Forward Day in 2007 as a way to show how small acts of kindness can have a profound impact. Today, it is celebrated in over 85 countries, proving that kindness knows no boundaries. The 911 Cell Phone Bank embodies this spirit by transforming unused devices into tools of safety and support for those in need.
Every device donation to the 911 Cell Phone Bank helps individuals escape dangerous situations, reconnect with loved ones, and rebuild their lives. By donating your unused devices, you are not just decluttering your home—you’re creating life-changing opportunities for survivors of abuse and human trafficking.
Plus, the entire process is 100% free! Donations are processed following Department of Defense guidelines to guarantee complete data erasure, ensuring your privacy and security. Items that are unusable are disposed of responsibly through certified recyclers, so your kindness helps both people and the planet.
This April 28th, live kindness by joining the PHONE IT FORWARD campaign. If you don’t have a device to donate, you can still make a difference by spreading awareness or hosting a donation drive. Together, we can amplify the power of kindness and make an impact that lasts all year long.
