Maysville, KY – The 911 Cell Phone Bank, an initiative of the Charitable Recycling Foundation, Inc., is proud to announce its partnership with the Maysville Police Department. This collaboration aims to enhance the department’s advocacy programs by providing critical resources to victims of domestic violence and human trafficking.
Through this partnership, the Maysville Police Department will distribute emergency cell phones and other devices to individuals in crisis. These devices enable victims to contact emergency services or seek help at any time, without the phone being linked to their assailants. The program is designed to offer a lifeline to those who may otherwise lack access to reliable communication during dangerous or vulnerable situations.
“A simple phone can be a lifeline—a bridge from fear to freedom. By partnering with the 911 Cell Phone Bank, we’re ensuring that victims of domestic violence and human trafficking have the tools they need to take control of their safety and connect with critical resources when they need them most,” says Officer Curtis Neal, Community Liaison with the Maysville Police Department.
These phones help prevent technology-based abuse such as stalking and harassment by abusers. Additionally, the department is collecting phones to be donated to the program for proper recycling, data clearing, and reintroduction into the 911 Cell Phone Bank program.
“The 911 Cell Phone Bank is honored to partner with the Maysville Police Department in supporting victims during their most critical moments,” said Susan Shipp, Public Relations Coordinator with 911 Cell Phone Bank. “We are committed to providing safety and peace of mind to those who need it.”
This commitment aligns with the Maysville Police Department’s dedication to safeguarding the community by providing comprehensive law enforcement services and advocating for vulnerable individuals. Through its advocacy programs, the department supports victims of domestic violence and human trafficking ensuring access to critical resources and support.
Since its inception in 2005, the 911 Cell Phone Bank has assisted over 250,000 victims of human trafficking and domestic violence. The organization is celebrating two decades of support to Law Enforcement and advocacy programs. The addition of the Maysville Police Department marks a significant milestone in its ongoing mission to support victims across the nation.
